Superintendent Theodore Clevenger introduced the proposal and identified the school’s need for higher pressure to support the fire-suppression system. "The city wants to help design and to help maintain and the school will help to pay for the proposed municipal utility infrastructure improvements," Clevenger said, saying staff are also "checking on the feasibility of replacing the 6" water line with an 8" water line." The motion to approve the interlocal agreement was made by Trustee Pablo Solorio and seconded by Trustee Zachary Buchhorn; the motion carried 5-2.
Adrian Flores, introduced at the meeting as the city's new manager, was present for the announcement; the board did not record further contractual specifics or a dollar amount in the public discussion.
