The motions were moved, seconded and approved by voice vote, with council saying the assignments are temporary while the town searches for a permanent administrator.
A councilor prefaced the motion by saying the role would be title-only in some respects and that the council would support Gilbert as she assumed these duties. The council also said it intends to actively recruit for a permanent administrator and that staff and council will assist during the interim period.
