Salary board approves temporary hire for Recorder’s office at $13.33/hour

During the salary-board session immediately after the Sept. 17 meeting, Commissioner Mark Kingston opened the salary board and Commissioner Robert Snyder moved to approve Miriah Tkach’s request to hire Jamie L. Say as a temporary part-time Recorder’s Clerk (up to 29 hours per week). Treasurer Stacey Barnes seconded the motion; the salary board approved the hire and set the pay rate at $13.33 per hour, citing Ms. Say’s prior Recorder’s Clerk experience.
The minutes state the hire is temporary while the county continues to seek a full-time clerk candidate. The salary board adjourned at 10:15 a.m.; the minutes were submitted by Jean Ann Hitchcock.
