CDD approves irrigation repairs and advances Seaside drainage project; change order capped at $15,000

District Engineer Charlie Krebs presented a revised scope for the Seaside & Master Drainage Project intended to preserve the original project intent while allowing easier system changes; MRI expects work to commence within two to three weeks. Mr. Krebs also identified ancillary irrigation costs of $4,002.50 to repair damaged wiring and about $1,300 each to raise seven to eight irrigation heads.
The board approved the Irrigation Concepts change order to repair damaged wiring and raise seven to eight irrigation heads in a not‑to‑exceed amount of $15,000 on a motion by Mr. Blumenthal and a second by Mr. Schultz. Staff will proceed with scheduled drainage work and report back on progress and any additional ancillary costs.
