As part of a long-term traffic-calming plan, Mr. Willis presented AV‑Tech proposals including $74,000 to install three 15" solar-powered digital speed radar signs, $1,500 per cloud traffic device per year, and a $25,000 mobile-unit option. Mr. Long said one existing unit logged about 800 varied speeding violations over a three‑week span, prompting a recommendation to relocate that unit 20 to 30 yards and to purchase a pole (estimated at about $1,200).
On motion by Mr. Schultz and seconded by Mr. Blumenthal, the board approved My AV‑Tech LLC Estimates 24150 and 24151 to wire and install three permanent and one mobile 15" solar-powered digital speed signs with cameras and messaging, plus cloud devices, for a combined total of $105,000, with all in favor. The board discussed the potential for the HOA to assume ongoing cloud device costs and offset them with covenant fine revenues administered by PSGRC.
