Archer City ISD approves low‑attendance waivers for January and March dates

The Archer City ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously on May 19 to approve low‑attendance day waivers for specified dates in the 2025–26 school year. "Jacie Ferguson moved to approve low attendance day waivers for the elementary campus on January 23, 2026, and for the middle and high school campus on January 22, 2026, January 23, 2026, January 30, 2026 and March 23, 2026. Jamie Krenek seconded the motion and all voted in favor," the minutes say.
The waivers allow the district to designate those dates as low‑attendance days for state reporting or minutes calculations. The board did not attach conditions to the approval during the meeting and the motion passed by a recorded 7‑0 vote.
