Big Sandy ISD trustees elect officers, set finance and facilities committees

Following the canvass, the board reorganized leadership: Mary Lingle elected president, Kathryn Vine elected vice president, George Strub elected secretary, and trustees were assigned to finance and facilities committees.
The board completed its annual reorganization at the May 11 meeting. On a motion by Kathryn Vine, seconded by George Strub, the trustees nominated and elected Mary Lingle as president; the motion passed unanimously (7-0). Kathryn Vine and George Strub were elected vice president and secretary, respectively, on subsequent motions that passed 7-0.
Trustees also appointed committee memberships. The Finance Committee was set as Kathryn Vine, George Strub and T.J. Wigington; the Facilities Committee was set as Hollie De La Cruz, Preston Dozier and Garland Harroff. All nominations and appointments were approved by unanimous roll call votes recorded in the transcript.
