Big Sandy ISD board approves 2024–25 budget, sets combined tax rate at $1.1779

The Big Sandy Independent School District Board of Trustees approved the district’s 2024–25 budget and adopted a combined tax rate of $1.1779 per $100 valuation at its Aug. 19, 2024 regular meeting. Trustee Lyndon Alec moved to approve the budget, and Trustee Kabe Murphy seconded; the motion passed 6–0 with Trustee Maynard Williams absent.

The board set the Maintenance & Operations tax rate at $0.7673 and the Interest & Sinking tax rate at $0.4106 per $100 valuation, votes recorded as unanimous among members present.
