Beckville ISD board approves district Guardian Plan and guidance on guardian staffing

The Beckville Independent School District Board of Trustees unanimously approved the district's Guardian Plan on June 8 after Superintendent Devin Tate summarized the requirement that districts review and approve such plans. Mr. Tate told the Board that schools are required to look over the plan and approve it if they maintain a Guardian Plan; he also said the district prefers to have at least two guardians at every campus and that hardware and ammunition for guardians remain the same. Trustee Justin Davis moved to approve the plan and Trustee Jason Brown seconded; the vote was unanimous.
