Bastrop ISD approves large slate of teacher contracts across campuses

Following closed-session personnel discussions, the Bastrop ISD Board approved the administration’s recommendations for term and probationary contracts for a large number of teachers across district campuses.
The public record lists probationary appointments, one-year terms, one-year retire-rehire terms, three-year terms, non-certified appointments, and part-time designations for educators at campuses including AES, BES, CCE, COE, CRE, EES, LPE, MES, RRE, BMS, CCMS, CMS, RMS, BHS, CCHS, CRCA, GWY/BC, Genesis, C&I, SP, Student Services and others. The Board approved the slate by show-of-hands vote; the motion carried unanimously.
The Board did not take action on a separate agenda item to send notice of termination for an identified probationary contract teacher. Administration will proceed with the personnel actions approved in open session.
