Bartlett ISD trustees approve minutes, bills, two student overnight trips and Policy Update 124
Summary
The Bartlett ISD Board unanimously approved payment of bills and minutes, overnight trips for the senior class and the FCCLA LifeSmarts team, adopted Policy Update 124 (LEGAL and LOCAL policy codes listed), and passed a resolution to provide at least one accessible voting system per polling place for the May 3, 2025 trustee election.
At the Feb. 17 meeting, Trustee Zachary Buchhorn moved to approve payment of bills and the minutes of the Jan. 13, 2025 regular meeting; Sheri Braun seconded and the motion passed 7–0. The board approved several routine consent items including no budget amendments for the period.
The board approved two overnight trips: the Senior Class of 2025 trip to New Braunfels, scheduled for May 4–8, 2025 (motion by Sheri Braun, second Steven Wentrcek), and the Bartlett High School FCCLA LifeSmarts team trip to the national LifeSmarts competition in Chicago, April 24–27, 2025 (motion by Zachary Buchhorn, second Pablo Solorio); both motions passed 7–0.
Trustees also approved Policy Update 124, covering both (LEGAL) and (LOCAL) policy changes including CAA(LOCAL), CDA(LOCAL), CY(LOCAL), DH(LOCAL), EHB(LOCAL), EHBB(LOCAL), FFG(LOCAL) and GKA(LOCAL), on a 7–0 vote (motion by Zachary Buchhorn, second Tammie Hunt). Meg Bernstein moved, and Pablo Solorio seconded, a resolution to provide at least one accessible voting system in each polling place for the May 3, 2025 Bartlett ISD trustee election; the resolution passed 7–0.
