At the Nov. 5 meeting, the Forest County Board of Commissioners approved Resolution #10 of 2025, authorizing the county to join the Pennsylvania County Health Insurance Purchasing Cooperative (PCHIPC) and to enter the intergovernmental agreement for cooperative purchasing of health insurance.
Commissioner Patrick F. Kline moved the resolution; Commissioner Robert J. Snyder seconded the motion and it carried unanimously. The minutes record the resolution number and the county’s action to participate in the cooperative. Diana Szuch, chief clerk, filed the minutes.
Why it matters: joining PCHIPC changes the county’s procurement pathway for health-insurance purchasing and may affect benefits procurement and costs going forward.
