The Board of Trustees of Bastrop Independent School District opened a public hearing on the district annual report and the 2024–25 Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR) on Feb. 17. Chief Academic Officer Jennifer Eberly led the presentation and said the report covered campus performance objectives, violent and criminal incidents, postsecondary performance, and progress toward Board-adopted HB 3 goals.
Eberly said the report included results from the 2023–24 and 2024–25 school years and noted that "the district’s incident rate for 2024–25 was 0.0003% with a student enrollment of 14,374." She told the board that Campus Improvement Plans were developed from data analyses and needs assessments and that the annual report and TAPR materials would be made available on the district website and at district and campus offices. The public hearing opened at 6:04 p.m. and concluded at 6:12 p.m., with time allowed for board and audience questions.
