Board hears employee health-care review and strategies to reduce premiums

They outlined the district's current cost position and described the existing wellness plan. "They also highlighted the existing wellness plan and discussed potential strategies to increase employee participation, along with options for managing and reducing future healthcare costs," the presenters said. Trustees discussed possible steps to encourage participation but did not make immediate policy changes.
The presentation was framed as a follow-up on Teacher Retirement System ActiveCare matters and aimed at weighing approaches to control rising healthcare costs while maintaining benefits for employees.
