Archer City ISD approves new teachers and district handbooks for 2026-27

At its July 27 meeting the Archer City ISD Board of Trustees approved multiple personnel and policy items for the 2026–27 school year. Board member Taylor Weaver moved to hire Lanie Gates as a teacher, and Beau Reneau moved to hire Sophie Roberts; both hires were seconded and approved unanimously. The board also approved the 2026–27 student handbook and code of conduct and the 2026–27 employee handbook by unanimous vote.
Approvals were noted as routine personnel and policy items in the minutes; the hires and handbooks were recorded with full yes votes from all members present. The board will proceed with onboarding and distribution of handbooks to staff and families before the start of the school year.
