The Bishop Consolidated Independent School District Board of Trustees voted to authorize issuance of the "Unlimited Tax School Building Bonds, Series 2024." The approval came during the special board meeting held Aug. 13, 2024 in the Luehrs Junior High School Library.
Board President Dawn Cavanaugh announced that Jeanette Gonzalez moved to approve the order and Judy Murdoch seconded the motion. After asking if there was any further discussion, Cavanaugh called for a vote; she then announced that "the motion passed with a 5-0 vote." The action authorizes the district to issue, sell and deliver the bonds and to levy a continuing direct annual ad valorem tax for their payment.
