The Bells ISD Board of Trustees approved a package of facility projects at the May 11 meeting. The board approved a contract with Shahan & Son, LTD to paint elementary school corridors; approved Clement & Son's to install a rock road and parking lot at the tennis courts; approved Buck Spears to install new awnings at the elementary campus (lunchroom, hallway and Pre-K playground); and approved proposals from Black's Electric and Advanced Connections, Inc. to add swipe access to seven exterior doors, install two gate readers and add an outdoor gate camera. Each proposal was approved by votes recorded as 6-0 in the meeting minutes.
Approvals were made by individual motions during the action-item portion of the agenda. The minutes show that vendors and technical scope were presented and that trustees approved the recommendations without recorded amendments; the minutes do not contain contract dollar amounts or implementation timelines for each vendor in the public record.
