Belen council approves agenda and minutes; mayor cites successful budget workshop

At the start of the April 20 meeting Mayor Robert Noblin asked for motions to approve the agenda and the minutes. Councilor Frank F. Ortega moved to approve the agenda, seconded by Councilor Rudy M. Espinoza; and Councilor Rudy M. Espinoza moved to approve the minutes, seconded by Councilor Frank F. Ortega. Both motions carried on unanimous roll call votes.
During council communications Mayor Noblin said, "We had a successful budget workshop. There is a lot coming this year." Councilor Rudy M. Espinoza said he had been in Tulsa at a MainStreet Conference and described the experience as "wonderful," adding an apology for missing a financial portion of the city meeting. Councilor Tracy Armijo complimented staff organization for the budget meeting; brief affirmations from Councilors Ortega and Holdman were recorded as "passed."
