Charmaine reported to trustees that residential property values in the district have increased and that the district’s estimated 2026 taxable value looks better than anticipated after several years of declines. She walked through information in the board packet and explained appraisal-district changes could still affect final numbers.
Superintendent Devin Tate said the district had previously been "not good" for two years and that the improved estimate should prevent a larger revenue loss this year; he cautioned that changes at the appraisal district remain a factor to monitor.
