Beckville ISD board adopts District of Innovation plan to add local flexibility

Superintendent Devin Tate introduced the District of Innovation (DOI) proposal and staff member Loretta Blair reviewed an informational sheet distributed to trustees. Loretta told the board the DOI information is posted on the district website and emphasized that the flexibility is helpful given the district’s small size and heavy cross-participation by students.
On a motion by Clayton McGuire and seconded by Jason Brown, trustees voted unanimously to approve the District of Innovation for Beckville ISD.
