Beckville ISD trustees sworn in and officers elected at May board meeting

The Beckville Independent School District Board of Trustees convened May 11 in the administration building and administered oaths to newly seated trustees.
Kelli Vicars led Jason Brown, Clayton McGuire and Katie Jo Davis in the Statement of Officer and Oath of Office, with each trustee standing and repeating the oath. The board then moved to reorganize its leadership. Trustee Justin Davis nominated Casey Travis for board president; the motion passed with Travis recorded as abstaining. Patrick Harris was elected vice president after a motion by Justin Davis and second by Casey Travis, and Clint Jones was elected secretary after a motion by Clayton McGuire and second by Katie Jo Davis.
