Blanco ISD elects new officers; two trustees sworn in

The Blanco Independent School District Board of Trustees reorganized its leadership at the May 18, 2026 regular meeting. Vice President Joe Hernandez called for nominations; Aaron Lux was nominated for president and Aaron Lux was elected vice president. The board recorded its officers as President Joe Hernandez, Vice President Aaron Lux and Secretary Chad Meyer.
The board announced the district had canceled its uncontested May 2, 2026 school board election and administered the Oath of Office to Aaron Lux (Place 1) and Robert Allison (Place 2). The board then approved the consent agenda, including minutes of prior meetings and the April 2026 financial report, on a motion by Chad Meyer seconded by Aaron Lux; the motion passed unanimously.
The reorganization and oath ensure the district has its leadership set as it moves into budget work and summer planning. The board’s attendance was recorded at the start of the meeting: Larry Kuebel, Joe Hernandez, Chad Meyer, Kathy Kersten, Aaron Lux, Erika Sykes and Stephen Mackey.
