Council President Bucci read the council's consent agenda statement and listed Resolutions 136-2026 through 142-2026, which included administrative and procurement authorizations, an appointment of a tax assessor and a CFO, and approvals related to a CDBG grant for playground accessibility. On motion of Councilman Polistina, seconded by Councilwoman Kern, the council voted to approve the listed consent resolutions by a single motion; the roll call recorded all present voting yes with Councilman Smith absent.
The consent items included Resolution 138-2026 "Authorizing the Appointment of William M. Johnson as Tax Assessor" and Resolution 140-2026 "Appointing Alexander Bauer as Chief Financial Officer." The consent package also included Resolution 139-2026 authorizing use of an approved state contract vendor pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-12a. Later in the meeting the council adopted Resolution 143-2026 to waive special event permit fees for Northfield Little League and approved payment of bills totaling $1,740,967.62.
