Victoria Ganz, the committee vice‑chair and acting Airport Manager, reported a recurring water/condensation issue in the airport's AvGas tank that staff traced to prior sensor and cap work and possibly the tank's configuration. She said the tank has been pumped multiple times and “most recent pumping returned about ½ cup of water.” Victoria cautioned that the small amount removed to date suggests the process could take years before the tank is fully cleared.
Victoria outlined follow‑up tasks for the fuel farm: rivetting signs on cabinets, addressing a vent/filter piping issue that may require cabinet changes, replacing the black rubber hose on top of the tanks with braided stainless‑steel (parts on order), replacing filters, procuring a Millipore testing kit, and repairing a weeping Jet A tank thread/seal. She said LR Fuel and Insight Construction will supply parts and Rodney will return to complete the work once supplies arrive.
