The Forest County Board of Commissioners voted Sept. 3 to retain Nathaniel J. Schmidt, Esquire, as special counsel on objectives related to a proposed property reassessment. The board recorded an hourly rate of $200 with an estimated 15–20 hours projected; the expense will be charged to STMP Grant Services.
Commissioner Robert J. Snyder Jr. made the motion and Commissioner Patrick Kline seconded; the motion carried unanimously. The engagement is scoped to drafting the request for proposals, supporting negotiations and administering any resulting reassessment contract, according to the motion recorded in the minutes.
