The Barbers Hill ISD Board designated Construction Manager-at-Risk (CM@R) as the primary construction delivery method for upcoming Bond 2026 projects, authorizing administration to develop selection criteria and conduct advertised bid processes consistent with Tex. Gov't Code § 2269.056.
The board also accepted a GMP for the Middle School North Counseling Suite renovation — a GMP of $868,923 with total costs of $955,815 including soft costs — on a motion by Mark Wilson that passed 7–0. Later in the agenda the board accepted a work-package GMP for Summer 2026 civil site improvements (pavement and drainage), with a work-package GMP of $689,993 and a total package cost of $825,000 after fees and soft costs; that motion passed 7–0.
Clint Pipes moved that the Board "designate construction delivery methods for upcoming bond projects as presented" and authorized the administration to proceed with selection criteria and advertised bid processes. The administration will return recommended vendors to the board following bid evaluations.
