Mesquite ISD casts its 95 DCAD votes for Kevin Carbel Sr.

The Mesquite ISD Board adopted a resolution Dec. 9 to cast all 95 of the district’s allotted votes in the Dallas Central Appraisal District (DCAD) board of directors election for the district’s nominated candidate, Kevin Carbel Sr. The motion to cast all votes for Carbel was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
President Seward explained that DCAD distributed a list of nominations and that the Mesquite taxing unit has 95 votes that may be distributed among candidates. "I move that we adopt the resolution as shown in the board book by casting all 95 of Mesquite ISD's votes in favor of Mr. Kevin Carbel Senior," the motion language recorded in the meeting states. Trustees noted that countywide returns will determine the final five elected directors after the Dec. 15 deadline.
