Village withholds WWTP payments until contractor provides project timeline

Clerk/Treasurer Michelle Klein told the board that Olympic, the contractor on the village wastewater treatment project, has not provided required project timeline updates to Davy. Under the project's Letter of Conditions, those timeline updates are a condition for approving payment of outstanding invoices.
Because the village has not received the timeline, the board has not authorized payment of significant invoices associated with the project; Michelle said any interest charges assessed by vendors because of delayed payments would be the responsibility of Olympic, not the village. The clerk said payments will be submitted through draw requests once Olympic supplies milestone dates and a timeline.
Trustees directed the clerk to withhold payment until the required contractor documentation is provided so the village can ensure compliance with the Letter of Conditions.
