The Borger Independent School District Board of Trustees convened a training meeting and public hearing at 6:00 p.m. on Oct. 15, 2024, in the Administrative Board Room. Board President Payton Lumpkin called the meeting to order and recorded that notice had been posted under the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Chapter 551.
Members present were Payton Lumpkin, Eric Schneck, Cyndee Hickman (board secretary), Devon Thompson, Keegan Neill, Robert Bradley and Gabriela Small. Superintendent Chance Welch and Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction Amy Blansett were also present. Visitors listed in the minutes included Lynn Pulliam, Chris Norton, Kaylie Massey and Ellyn Maldonado.
The minutes record "Public Comment: None," indicating no members of the public spoke during the public comment portion of the session. With no objections, the meeting was adjourned at 8:15 p.m. by Board President Payton Lumpkin.
"Let the record show that a quorum of board members is present, that the meeting has been duly called, and that notice of this meeting has been posted in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Texas Government Code Chapter 551," the record says at the opening of the meeting.
