The Borger Independent School District Board of Trustees held a reorganization and officer election at its May 13 meeting in the district administrative board room. Board President Payton Lumpkin called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m., and Shelby Wright administered the Oath of Office to re-elected trustee Devon Thompson.
Trustee Eric Schneck nominated Payton Lumpkin for a new term as board president; the nomination was seconded by Gabriela Small and the motion passed unanimously. Devon Thompson nominated Eric Schneck for vice president (seconded by Cyndee Hickman), and Lumpkin nominated Cyndee Hickman for board secretary (seconded by Thompson). Minutes record each motion as passing unanimously with the board members Lumpkin, Schneck, Hickman, Small, Thompson and Bradley listed in favor.
The board's official attendance was recorded at the start of the meeting; Keegan Neill was listed as absent. The reorganization actions were taken at the outset of the meeting and were reflected in the official minutes.
