Fort Lee Parking Authority to formalize use of 2062 Lemoine Ave lot under license with Horizon Fort Lee LLC

On June 3 the Fort Lee Parking Authority approved Resolution 2025-34 to memorialize a long-standing, informal arrangement for use of the 2062 Lemoine Avenue lot owned by Horizon Fort Lee LLC. Under the license terms summarized in the minutes, the Authority will be allowed to use the property for borough-related purposes without paying rent or a license fee; the Authority will be responsible for maintenance and insuring its use while Horizon Fort Lee LLC maintains liability insurance for the property.
The resolution also prohibits hazardous or toxic materials on site and states the license will remain in effect until Horizon Fort Lee LLC (or a successor) commences development of the property, at which point reasonable notice will be provided. Executive Director Hernani Goncalves discussed the resolution; motion by Neil Grant, second by Michael Raskin; approved unanimously.
