Property manager provides invoices after county cites nonworking electrical outlets at Santa Fe Apartments unit

Alachua County code enforcement presented allegations that Apartment 1303 at 8008 NW 31st Avenue had electrical receptacles that were not functioning, along with other maintenance issues. County staff said one of the code violations (prohibited/dangerous structures) was now in compliance but an International Property Maintenance Code violation for installations remained.
Property manager James Honeysucker testified he was assigned to the property in March and said he located invoices showing that Spurgeon Electric completed electrical repairs on multiple units. He described the repairs and said he emailed the invoice to county staff; the county officer said receipt of the electrician's invoice would allow the case to be closed. "They did the electrical work, the troubleshot, the lighting circuit for living room, found loose connections on outlets," Honeysucker told the magistrate. The magistrate directed the county to accept the documentation and close the case if verification confirms the outlets now function.
County recorded costs of $420 to bring the matter to hearing and asked the respondent to confirm correction within 30 days.
