The Brownsboro Independent School District Board of Trustees voted July 13 to approve the district’s proposed 2026–2027 budget by functional level and to set the tax rates that fund it. The board recorded unanimous votes on the budget and on the two components of the tax rate: Maintenance & Operations (M&O) of $0.7512 and Interest & Sinking (I&S) of $0.3083 per $100 valuation.
Board members also scheduled a public hearing on the budget for August 10, 2026. Superintendent Keri Hampton and district staff presented the budget preview during the meeting; Jon Lundmark was listed as the staff member who presented the Proposed 2026–2027 Budget. The board’s vote followed that presentation and routine financial reports included on the consent agenda.
The board approved the budget and tax rates on motions recorded in the minutes with seven votes in favor and none opposed. The district noted that the minutes are unofficial until approved at the next meeting and that the public hearing will allow residents to review and comment on the spending plan before final adoption.
