LTAC to split October meeting, keep funds on reimbursement basis; October 6 set for city requests

"When their application is approved, everything is on a reimbursement basis now," Chair Denise said, describing a procedural change in which recipients no longer receive advance checks. Committee members supported dividing application review across meetings to avoid marathon sessions and discussed setting a regular cadence for future meetings while keeping flexibility for convention center and event timing.
Nicole confirmed that unspent reimbursement authority remains in the LTAC fund and does not revert to the city's general fund. The committee also discussed additional meeting dates and agreed to ask members to review proposed schedules before the January meeting; no formal vote was required, but the Oct. 6 meeting was added to the calendar.
