The Osceola County Board of Supervisors reviewed the proposed employee handbook with Jack Reed on a conference call and with the handbook committee. Reed raised questions about the previously approved maternity/paternity provisions, prompting further discussion by the board.
Supervisor Mike Schulte moved to allow married couples who both work for the county to receive 10 weeks of maternity leave and two weeks of paternity leave with a combined total of 12 weeks. Schulte later withdrew the motion. The minutes record that Reed will make the revisions discussed and return updated language for board review.
