Board adopts consent agenda, approves policy revisions and several donations

At the Sept. 25 meeting the Alamo Heights ISD Board of Trustees approved a consent agenda that packaged routine business items into a single motion. Items included approval of the Aug. 14, 2024 minutes, payment of bills, revisions to local policies per the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) Policy Update 123, and an Interlocal Agreement for a 457(b) FICA Alternative Plan with Region 10 Education Service Center.
Trustees also adopted a resolution to modify bank depository signers and approved an amendment to the 2024–2025 budget. The minutes list several donations accepted under the consent agenda, including $56,176.00 from the Alamo Heights School Foundation, $71,847.10 from various donors for athletics, $7,000 from the Woodridge PTO for curriculum enrichment, $2,525 from Matthew and Hannah Menger for water polo, and $500 from Teri and Greg Barnett for AHHS rocketry. "APPROVED - Motion by Mr. Ty Edwards, seconded by Mrs. Carey Hildebrand and carried unanimously to approve Item #5. A, B, C, D, E, F, G, and H of the Consent Agenda as presented," the minutes state.
