Alamo Heights ISD board adopts $78.01 million budget and approves 2024 tax rate

The Alamo Heights Independent School District Board of Trustees adopted a $78,009,071 general operating budget for the 2024–25 fiscal year on Aug. 14. Chief Financial Officer Matt Streger presented the budget at a public hearing; the board approved the plan on a motion by Mr. Ty Edwards, seconded by Mr. David Hornberger, and the vote carried unanimously.
Trustees also approved the district's 2024 tax rate in the same session. The tax-rate motion was made by Mr. Ty Edwards and seconded by Mrs. Lauren McLaughlin; board minutes record unanimous approval. The board did not record any dissenting votes and did not attach conditions to the approvals. Board members present were Stacy Sharp (Presiding Officer), Carey Hildebrand, Ty Edwards, Brian Hamilton, David Hornberger and Lauren McLaughlin.
