Board approves new principal, chief of police and director of safety

All motions passed without recorded opposition.
The HUTTO ISD Board of Trustees on June 25 approved three administrative assignments recommended by the superintendent.
Trustee Miss English moved to approve the recommendation "to assign Erica Jordan to the position of Ray Elementary principal," a motion seconded by Mister Madlock and approved by the board. Later the board approved Robert Gavin as chief of police (motion by Miss English; seconded by Doctor Adams) and Chris Contreras as director of safety and security (motion by Miss English; seconded by Mr. Rolling). Board president announced each motion "passes" after voice votes.
The appointments were handled immediately after the board returned from closed session. No member voiced opposition during the floor votes, and Miss Jacobs was recorded as absent for the meeting. The board offered brief congratulations to the newly assigned administrators at the dais.
