Hutto ISD bond update: Creekside High School construction progressing; welding shop completion pushed to Nov. 2026

Hutto ISD’s assistant superintendent of operations told trustees May 28 that construction under the district’s 2023 bond program is advancing across multiple sites, including the new Creekside High School.
The presentation outlined committed and expended figures, noted wayfinding signage and courtyard renovations under way, and reported that the final phase of the welding shop work is on an updated schedule with a projected completion in November 2026. The presenter described interior work, fire-sprinkler installation, finish work on locker rooms and plans for summer tasks including AC replacements and tennis-court work.
When trustees asked about the new high school turf, the assistant superintendent said turf installation is expected to be complete before classes resume — "Turf should be completed before August, hopefully mid July," he said. The board also discussed sequencing so that interior connections and parking will be ready for the next school year.
Administrators said the district will continue phasing projects this summer with a goal of minimizing disruption when students return in August.
