Calallen ISD board moves into closed session to interview superintendent candidates

Heather Luckenbach, Board President of the Calallen Independent School District Board of Trustees, called the special meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. at the district administration building and on Zoom. "Mrs. Luckenbach declared under the authority of Texas Open Meetings Act, Government Code Section 551.074 for the purpose of considering the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline or dismissal of a public officer or employee or to hear complaints or charges against a public officer or employee; a) Interview candidates for the position of Superintendent for Calallen Independent School District that the Board goes into executive session at 5:31 p.m.," the transcript records.

The board recorded members present: Heather Luckenbach (President), Michael Hatch (Vice President), Chelsea Schulze (Member), Edward Wells (Member), Lori Jo Walker (Secretary), Jerry Batek (Member) and Royce Cameron (Treasurer). The meeting record shows that no members of the public offered comments during the public comment portion. The board entered executive session at 5:31 p.m. to interview candidates for the superintendent post and returned to open session at 9:20 p.m. The transcript notes there was no further business and the workshop adjourned at 9:20 p.m.
