President Heather Luckenbach told attendees the meeting would move into closed session "under the authority of Texas Open Meetings Act, Government Code Section 551.074" for the purpose of considering personnel matters related to the employment and appointment of a public officer or employee. The board returned to open session later the same evening and acted on the motion naming Dr. Flores.
