Caddo Mills ISD trustees begin visioning workshop to shape five-year plan

At a Sept. 27 special meeting, trustees worked with Transcend4 consultant Charlotte Bachand to clarify the district's vision, mission, core values and motto and to outline priorities for a five-year strategic plan focusing on community, teaching and learning, facilities and finance, social-emotional learning and career/technical education.
At a special meeting Sept. 27, 2024, the Caddo Mills ISD Board of Trustees held a visioning workshop led by Charlotte Bachand of Transcend4 to begin defining a five-year strategic plan. According to the meeting minutes, Bachand "worked with the board members to clarify the district's vision, mission statement, core values, and motto." Trustees present included Board President Mark Sweeney and Secretary Dane Scoggins.
The workshop identified five priority areas to guide the district's planning: community and tradition; teaching and learning; facilities and finance; social and emotional learning; and career and technical education. The minutes record the exercise as part of work the consultant will continue with the Collaborative Visioning Committee to translate broad goals into an actionable plan over the coming year. No formal votes or policy adoptions were recorded during the workshop; the session was described in the minutes as a facilitated planning exercise.
