Alan Patterson was elected Board President at the Cameron Independent School District board meeting on June 8, 2026, receiving five votes to Isaiah Logan’s two votes.
The outcome came after nominations from trustees: John Anderle nominated Patterson and Annisha Williams nominated Logan. The board also filled other officer posts: John Anderle was elected vice president in a 5-2 vote over Annisha Williams, and Annisha Williams affirmed she would serve as board secretary after a nomination from Isaiah Logan. Newly elected trustees Holly Gommert and Mike Denio had recited their oaths earlier in the meeting.
The leadership votes followed a short recognition of outgoing Trustee James Burks and preceded other routine business, including the superintendent’s report and approval of the consent agenda. The board’s official roll call shows all seven trustees present for the votes.
