The Caddo Mills ISD Board of Trustees used the May 19 meeting to recognize a string of student accomplishments across academics, arts and extracurriculars. The High School Accounting team finished second at state competition; theatrical design students placed fifth and sixth at state; and the High School Drone team — described in the minutes as 'Our Drones in School' — won a national championship, the first national title in district history.
The board also recognized the high school bass fishing team for consistent top-10 finishes and noted that Eli Campbell and Rylan Erwin advanced to state tournaments. Mrs. Gandy presented the State VASE competition team and the minutes record that, for the first time in district history, two VASE team members advanced to the State competition. The recognitions were recorded in the minutes as part of the board's 'Good Things' and recognition segments.
