The Caddo Mills ISD Board of Trustees voted Aug. 12 to set the district's 2024 tax rate at $0.7552 for maintenance and operations and $0.50 for interest and sinking, for a combined rate of $1.2552. The motion was moved by Trustee Nanette Mulkey and seconded by Trustee Rueben Terry and passed 5-0.
Presenter Luke Allison introduced the item and asked the Board to adopt the proposed rate; the Board also approved including the Tax Rate Calculation Worksheet as an appendix to the budget earlier in the meeting. The minutes record enrollment growth of 200 new students to date and ongoing boundary work by Zonda Education, items the superintendent noted in the same report as budget and planning updates. The Board took no dissenting votes.
