Burleson ISD reports FY2024 collections near budgeted revenues, expenditures near budget cap

District financial staff presented the board with fiscal-year-end summaries through June 2024 showing that the district had collected approximately 91% of its budgeted revenues and expended about 98% of budgeted General Fund expenditures. The packet included dashboards for General Fund revenue and expenditures, food service, debt service, special revenue and capital projects, along with a property tax collection report and a quarterly investment report.
Board members did not take action on the financial reports at the Aug. 12 meeting; the figures were presented for review and inclusion in the public record. Staff emphasized the components of revenues (state funding, tax collections and miscellaneous revenues) and reported capital-project updates and payments over $10,000 as part of the information package.
Trustees asked no recorded substantive follow-up questions in the public minutes; the board accepted the financial report as presented.
