Burleson ISD board grants president authority to approve hires until October

After meeting in closed session, the Burleson ISD Board of Trustees reconvened and voted to give Board President Jerri McNair temporary authority to approve new professional hires between the Sept. 9 meeting and the next regular meeting in October.
The motion was made by Ryan Richardson and seconded by Dallas Owen and carried unanimously. Meeting minutes state the board will consider ratifying any hires at the October meeting. The approval followed closed-session consideration of personnel matters listed under Texas Government Code Title 5, Chapter 551.
