The council approved an update to the city's Hearing Examiner procedures by adopting Resolution No. 24-1106 on Oct. 7 as part of the consent agenda. The update, requested by Hearing Examiner Rajeev Mujumdar, consolidates sections of the existing rules, expands a few sections and adjusts timing requirements so the hearing examiner receives materials in advance of hearings. Staff reviewed the proposed changes and reported no concerns.
The Community Development Committee considered the revisions at its Sept. 23 meeting and concluded initial review without concerns; council adopted the consent agenda by a 7-0 vote.
