The Broaddus ISD Board of Trustees voted to proceed with marketing surplus property located at 215 Buchanan. The motion directed the use of a realtor and delegated authority to the superintendent to review qualifications and select a realtor.
"I move that the Board approve the use of a realtor to market the sale of surplus property located at 215 Buchanan and delegate the authority to the Superintendent to review and make a selection of a realtor based on qualifications," said Micha Miller; the motion, seconded by Michael Sowell, passed with six yeas and one absence recorded. The transcript does not record list prices, appraisal information or a sale timeline.
Delegation of selection authority to the superintendent allows administration to run the realtor procurement process without returning to the board for selection approval; any final sale or contract award would require public action consistent with district procurement rules.
