The BRENHAM ISD Board met for a public hearing on the 2024–2025 Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR) on Feb. 17, 2026. President Jared Krenek called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. in Brenham High School Lecture Rooms 111 & 113 and the record shows seven trustees present. Chief Academic Officer Sara Borchgardt led the hearing to present the TAPR and invite public comment; the agenda indicates the meeting was noticed as a public hearing on the TAPR.
No members of the public spoke during the hearing or the general public-comment segment. The official minutes state, “With no further business to come before the Board, President Jared Krenek adjourned the meeting at 6:14pm.” No motions, votes, or formal actions were taken on the TAPR during this session. District administrators listed in the record included Superintendent Clay Gillentine and several central-office staff; local public radio reporter Josh Blaschke attended as media.
Why it matters: the TAPR is the state’s annual academic performance report for districts and is the formal vehicle for public review of district performance data. This hearing provided the public an opportunity to comment on the 2024–2025 report; none chose to speak. The board did not schedule or record further action on the report during this meeting.
